Seated Uses Your Own TV Console-Ready

All The Arcade. None Of The Cabinet.

The Xtension Sit-Down Pedestal holds up to a 43″ TV and houses any Xtension controller — including our console-ready Pro Edition for Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. No towering cabinet taking over the room. Just real arcade controls, seated, built around the screen you already own.

FURNITURE, NOT A MONUMENT

Not every arcade setup should dominate the room.

A full-size upright is a statement piece. Sometimes you just want real arcade controls for the TV and console you already have, without giving up half the living room to do it.

NOT LOCKED TO EMULATION

Real console support, not just MAME.

Every Xtension controller hot-swaps onto the same pedestal, so you choose how it plays. Want it MAME-ready out of the box? The Emulator Edition does that. Want to plug in an actual Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch? Step up to the Pro Edition.

  • Pro Edition = real console support Genuine Sanwa parts + a Brook UFB Fusion board adds Xbox, PlayStation (PS3/PS4/PS5), Switch, and Wii U.
  • Emulator Edition = MAME-ready Cherry/ZF switches and IL joysticks, pre-configured for MAME, RetroArch, and Hyperspin.
  • Swap between them in seconds The same pedestal fits every Xtension controller — no rewiring.
Worth knowing: the base Emulator Edition and Plus controllers are MAME/emulation-only and do not support real game consoles. Real console compatibility specifically requires the Pro Edition controller (+$100).

WHY THE PARTS MATTER

Same arcade-grade standard as the rest of the Xtension line.

Every Xtension controller starts with Cherry/ZF microswitches and IL competition joysticks, with genuine Sanwa parts standard on the Pro Edition. Nothing about the pedestal form factor is a lower-quality shortcut — it’s the same hardware, in a shape built for your living room instead of a game room corner.

“We bought RRM arcade machine for our game room and it is one of the absolute best purchases we have ever made… Assembly was a breeze and the quality is top notch.”

Questions people actually ask

What size TV do I need? +

The pedestal’s included stand supports up to a 43″ flat-panel TV or monitor. If you want to go bigger, you can skip the included stand and mount a larger TV directly to the wall behind the pedestal instead.

Is this the same as the sit-down arcade cabinet? +

No. The sit-down arcade cabinet is a full enclosed unit with a built-in monitor mount and side panels. The pedestal is a lower-profile piece — it’s designed to sit in front of a TV you already own, rather than replacing it with a built-in screen. Same controllers, different form factor.

Will this work with my Xbox or PlayStation? +

Yes — if you choose the Pro Edition controller (+$100). It includes a Brook UFB Fusion board that adds native support for Xbox, PlayStation (PS3/PS4/PS5), Switch, and Wii U. The base Emulator Edition is MAME/emulation-only and does not support real game consoles.

How much room does it actually take up? +

The pedestal is designed to fit in front of a TV stand or wall-mounted TV, much like a coffee table would. It’s seated-height and doesn’t take up any more floor space than a small media console. You’ll need a chair or couch behind it — that’s part of the point.

What do I actually have to assemble myself? +

The pedestal cabinet ships flat-pack with video assembly instructions — you assemble the wood enclosure yourself. The controller is the one part that arrives fully built and pre-wired. Once the pedestal is assembled, you just set the controller on top and connect the USB cable. No soldering, no wiring, no configuring any of the controls.
